Eucalyptus melliodora

Evaluation 1

Evaluation Date:20 Jun, 2012.
Evaluators:Claudia Green.
Committee Summary:These trees are very consistent in height but the shape and habit is quite variable. Additionally, some trees are currently in flower and have a different leaf shape than others. This is probably due to natural genetic variation in the seed stock it is also possible that there are two different cultivars in this planting. There have also been two rounds of additional planting along the reserve, the older infill plantings are doing very well but the newest plantings are very poor specimens with calipers far too small for their height. It is doubtful whether these new trees will establish successfully. (T1 outside no. 18).
Container Size:50cm.
Planting Date:6/10/2008.
Management Inputs:Recent infill plantings, no input apparent on established trees.
Maintenance Requirements:Manage lerp infestation, consider replacing the new trees with better quality stock.
