Committee Summary:As previously mentioned, these trees are struggling with the difficult conditions on this hill top where water is very scarce and the trees are likely to be exposed to wind. They are growing very slowly and struggling to establish and while foliage colour is quite good there are signs of dieback.

Committee Summary:Apart from considerable caliper sizing, this cultivar has not grown in height or shown any increase in branch structure. The positioning of this cultivar on the hill top presents a real challenge for this species.

Committee Summary:Continued good performance under drought conditions was noted at this site. Early leaf drop however, indicated a degree of stress. Extension growth was observed to be minimal this season.
Maintenance Requirements:Additional mulch would be beneficial. Minor formative pruning and removal of lower limbs.

Committee Summary:Sited in a similar position to Liquidambar Gold Dust ®, this cultivar was performing equally well with a similar tolerance to drought and heat. It was noted that this cultivar has excellent potential as a warm climate shade tree.
