Evaluation 2
| Evaluation Date: | 4 Jan, 2012. |
| Evaluators: | Paul Chaproniere. |
| Committee Summary: | Wow, this tree has grown well. The form of the tree is very good and it is only slightly off upright. This is a tough area to grow up, largely due to the high traffic on the road. A good healthy (but lonely) tree. Power lines will be a problem soon. |
Technical information
| Soil Type: | Dark Grey Sand over Clay Clay sub soil, top soil whether dry moist or wet. Non sticky, in winter perched waterable may occur above the clay, affecting drainage. |

Evaluation 1
| Evaluation Date: | 24 Oct, 2012. |
| Evaluators: | Claudia Green. |
| Committee Summary: | A very inconsistent planting with numerous replacements. This planting is simply failing to establish and perform with trees showing poor form, several are dying and none are stable despite considerable caliper size on the older trees. This failure and lack of root establishment suggests the soil is simply to compacted and heavy for this species to develop a proper root system. (eval. tree at no. 12). |
| Planting Date: | 29/10/2009. |
| Maintenance Requirements: | Consider soil amelioration to allow for proper root establishment, otherwise consider replacing with more suitable species. |
Technical information
| Tree Height: | 3.5 Metres (var. 1.5-4m). |
| Tree Width: | 3 Metres (var. 0.6-3m). |
| Caliper: | 127mm (var. 14-130mm). |
| Support Notes: | Not yet stable. |
| Limb Structure: | Fair - most very sparse. |
| Soil Type: | Heavy Clay Smooth plastic cast that can be moulded into rods without fracture. Forms a ribbon at least 75 mm long. |
